History

Aurà was born in the historical centre of the town of Ragusa. This Sicilian town, “a baroque pearl”, is one of the most beautiful and suggestive Sicilian jewels, it recently became famous thanks to the writer Andrea Camilleri and his well-known protagonist: Inspector Montalbano.
It is within walking distance from all that the town has to offer. You will be able to enjoy the amazing baroque churches and elegant historical buildings of the baroque period. From your room you can admire the beautiful and peculiar town vistas, the baroque influence on Ragusa makes it worthy of the Unesco world heritage site.
